With the My Synovus Mobile Banking app, customers can conveniently and securely perform banking transactions from virtually anywhere. The app provides various features such as depositing checks on the go, sending or receiving payments from friends and family, paying bills, transferring money between accounts, viewing balances, and finding Synovus locations.
The app offers simple account management options where users can review their activity and balances in their Synovus checking, savings, loan, and credit card accounts. Instant Balances feature allows users to quickly view their account balances without the need to log in. Users can also set up alerts to receive notifications about important account activities and search for transactions using keywords, amounts, dates, and check numbers.
Mobile Check Deposit feature allows users to deposit checks by using their device's camera. All they need to do is enter the deposit amount and submit photos of endorsed checks.
Enhanced security measures are provided with multifactor authentication. Users can set up Touch or Face ID for quick and secure sign-ins. Additionally, after signing in with a unique username and password, users may have to answer a security question for further authentication. First-time logins or logging in from unknown devices require a one-time passcode in addition to the usual log-in credentials.
Transfer Funds feature enables users to move funds quickly and securely between their accounts. Pay People feature allows secure money transfers to friends, family, and even babysitters using Popmoney® with an email address or mobile number. Pay Bills feature allows users to schedule, edit, or cancel payments to companies, add or edit recipients, and view and pay upcoming eBills.
The app also provides a Locations feature where users can easily find Synovus branch and ATM locations across the Southeast. They can search for locations near their current location, near an address, or within a specific ZIP code.
Various permissions are necessary for the app's functionalities. Location permissions are required to display nearby Synovus locations/ATMs and provide mapping directions. Camera permissions are needed for using the Mobile Deposit feature. Internet access permissions are required for the app to connect with My Synovus. The minimum system requirement is Apple iOS 11 or higher. Access to the device's contacts is needed for Popmoney® functionality.
About My Synovus, the app is free to download. However, its usage may incur charges from the mobile service provider for data and/or text plans. Users can sign in using their existing My Synovus username and password or enroll via the provided link on the app's login page. Depending on circumstances, users might be asked to answer security questions or receive a one-time passcode for logging in. The app is suitable for ages 13 and up, with minors having limited access to services within the app.

*Account Transaction Limitations for Savings and Money Market Accounts— Savings and Money Market accounts have a limit of six (6) debit transactions per month or monthly statement cycle. Debit transactions include checks, debit/check card transactions, transfers, and pre-authorized transfers made by phone or modem. Unlimited transactions are allowed if made in person, by mail, through an ATM or by phone if the check is mailed to the customer. If an account exceeds the allowed debit transactions consistently, it may be converted to a checking account.
**Pay People feature requires enrollment in Popmoney service. Payment limits apply, and more information can be found within the Popmoney service in My Synovus. Popmoney payments sent through the My Synovus mobile app to an email address must be less than $100 per payment.
***Pay bills or companies feature requires enrollment in Bill Pay service through My Synovus.
